Met Player Monday - Shortening Songs

Happy Met Player Monday!! Today, we’re talking about shortening your special dance songs - which typically include the first dance and parent dances! Typically, we learn songs exactly as they would be in their original recordings. We learn every guitar lick, every vocal line, every horn part, and piano riff. And we play the full length of these songs right down to the minute. We include every section of the song that you’d normally hear and sing along with so that you know what to expect when you book the Metropolitan Players. But sometimes clients want to shorten these special songs/dances, and here are some of the main reasons why!
