The Metropolitan Players are the absolute best band and we cannot recommend them enough! We couldn't have been happier with the entire experience working together. Erin is incredibly kind, generous, responsive, and accommodating and made the preparation process smooth and enjoyable; she was on top of everything and provided fantastic suggestions.
The band also knocked it out of the park and our wedding reception wouldn't have been the same with anyone else. Each musician is incredibly talented and together they brought so much energy to the reception. Everyone was out on the dance floor before the main course was even served! AMAZING! The Metropolitan Players were awesome for our Montauk wedding! The planning process was so easy and their coordinator was extremely professional, organized and responsive to our emails and any questions we had. This alone made the planning so much easier and carefree.
We received so many positive reactions from our guests! The band had so much energy and kept everyone dancing the ENTIRE night. A few members even got on the dance floor and danced with our guests. They learned our wedding song, as well as a few other songs and performed them SO WELL! They kept the party going which definitely contributed to our wedding being so fun and a night to remember. "THEIR MUSIC IS UNPARALLELED!"
I have been to countless weddings, and have experienced the range of bands. My daughter as well is hugely fussy, and dragged me and others to listen to numerous bands before she and her now husband settled on Metropolitan Players. We could not be happier with their professionalism and talent, starting from the first day Brittany listened to them to the closing dance at the wedding (and Erin, manager, runs a tight ship! She is there every minute over email and in person as needed). They are incredibly responsible, and their music is unparalleled.
Our wedding guests raved for weeks on end. Moreover, they will play everything you ask for, without filling in with their own choices (my sister had an experience where she gave a band the list of songs and heard only a few of them to her dismay; the band played what they wanted rather than what she wanted). They will also leave out whatever you don't want them to play. And, the music is energetic but not deafening, so people will not have headaches from the pulsing sound. Importantly, each song is distinct, sounds just like the originals, and there is no experience of multiple songs running into each other in a way that sounds like one overly long and indistinguishable noise set.
I was truly amazed at how excellent they were. The band members are young and filled with talent and enthusiasm. They will get everyone up and dancing and you will never be able to match their ability anywhere. I am sure of that. I would hire them over and over if I could!

"EVERYONE WAS IMPRESSED!"
Working with and having The Metropolitan Players at my wedding was beyond amazing. From the start, Erin was the most responsive and enthusiastic person to work with. My Dad was impressed with the band from the first email they exchanged, and he had a gut feeling they would be wonderful to work with. We went to see them perform and were impressed immediately. Throughout the whole wedding process (a full year) Erin responded to the emails my father and I (and the groom) sent to her in such a timely manner. She is so well organized and she delivered on the day of the wedding.
The band was excellent, and people were dancing all night until the very end, and even then everyone on the dance floor was shouting "one more song!" and of course, they agreed. I had great feedback from my friends and family and everyone was impressed. I would highly recommend Metropolitan Players! Thanks again for making my wedding so entertaining!

Stop everything you are doing and book the Met Players right now! Words can’t express how incredible they were at my wedding this past weekend. Every single person at the wedding raved about the band and many have called and texted me in the days since to gush again over how incredible they were. We asked the band to play a specific version of our first dance song and they did so beautifully. They played the songs we requested flawlessly and also did a great job of reading the room and playing just what our guests wanted to hear. The dance floor was packed the entire time!
I would be remiss not to mention Erin, who really was an angel throughout the entire planning process. Every communication we had with her made us feel confident and calm. She was so helpful in answering our many questions, making suggestions, and generally reassuring us that everything would go smoothly. I wish I had another event to plan just so I could party with the Met Players again! Do not pass up the opportunity to have them at your wedding or event!

The Met Players were unbelievable. My now wife and I spent months before the wedding watching their YouTube videos constantly, getting pumped for the big day. Believe me when I tell you that they were so much better than we could have even imagined. All of our guests were on the dance floor the entire party and days later we are still getting compliments about the band, their songs, and their energy. Special shout out to Erin who was beyond helpful and had almost as much enthusiasm about my wedding as I did. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Top of the line. 5 stars. "HANDS DOWN THE BEST BAND AROUND!"
LOOK NO FURTHER for the perfect wedding band!! The Metropolitan players are professional, dedicated, sweet, caring, and above all, extremely talented & accommodating. We had our wedding June 2016 in a barn upstate NY and the band absolutely killed it. From customizing certain songs and surprising us with learning new songs at such an amazing turn around. I would hire these amazing people for any event. Our guests absolutely loved them and we had so much fun.

The Metropolitan Players was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. In short, they had our guests dancing the entire night and asking us “Who is this band and where did you find them?”
Throughout the planning process, Erin was so wonderful to work with – extremely professional, prompt with responses, and so helpful with the many questions I had. Erin read our song style well and provided amazing song recommendations for our ceremony music when we felt we had run out of ideas.
When our wedding day arrived, meeting Erin was like meeting an old friend. We felt completely at ease. The band sang ever song perfectly, their energy remained high, and throughout the night, guests continually came up to my husband and me to tell us how amazing the band was. Even our venue and photographer asked us where we found this amazing band. Not only did they think the band sounded awesome, but they also noted how easy The Metropolitan Players was to work with – a true testament to how amazing this band is!

We had seen the Metropolitan Players play at a close friend's wedding, and when we got engaged, there was no question that we wanted them to play at our wedding! Having a great band was a major priority for us - we love to dance and wanted to be on the dance floor the entire night. And that's exactly what happened! From cocktail hour to the first song of the night to the last song of the night, the Metropolitan Players sounded great and got everyone ready to party. Our friends and family could not stop dancing and telling us how great the band was. They had a great variety of songs, and were able to make the necessary tweaks to make our first dance exactly perfect.
Planning with Erin was so easy, and it was clear how much she cared about making us happy. The vocalists, Bryan, Chris H and Hannah S were AMAZING and Kelsey is a SHOWSTOPPER. Chelsea was so wonderful at keeping everything running smoothly throughout the night, and even managing a few curve balls for us. We could not recommend the Metropolitan Players more, and we're going to have to start crashing weddings they are playing at so we can dance more! Thanks for making our night perfect!

The Metropolitan Players played our wedding on May 15th in Buffalo, NY. Katie (my wife) and I have been to a lot of weddings, and this band is by far the greatest wedding band we have ever heard. First, Erin was phenomenal when it came to communication and planning. She was completely and utterly attentive to our needs. The night of the wedding she handled everything flawlessly including last minute changes to announcements, etc.
Ok, now the band...talk about incredible. The energy, the talent, the feeling the crowd's energy...it was amazing. We went with a 10-piece ensemble, so the horns were a particular highlight that we strongly recommend. When the night was coming to a close, we didn't want the party to end so we asked Erin if they would play 30 min longer and they did, including having the three vocalists dancing with us while singing on the dance floor. This is the band my friends will be talking about for years. Thanks so much Metropolitan Players!

"AN AMAZING BAND MAKES FOR AN AMAZING WEDDING, AND
THE METROPOLITAN PLAYERS DID NOT DISAPPOINT!"
What an amazing band! We loved them the moment we saw them in rehearsal but they impressed us so much more live at our venue. We had 4 straight hours of dancing and the band kept the dance floor full and showed a diverse array of voices from the lead singers. Every guest, young and old, was on the dance floor. We have received so many compliments about how wonderful The Metropolitan Players were! Erin and Chelsea were great to work with and we felt like everything was coordinated seamlessly. Their organization and efficiency made this part of wedding planning stress-free! We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to dance the night away at their wedding. An amazing band makes for an amazing wedding, and The Metropolitan Players did not disappoint! 5 stars :)

From our first interaction with Erin to the last song at our reception, The Metropolitan Players were outstanding. We were impressed by the professional approach, clear communication, and incredible talent of this group. Every question was answered and our requests were all granted. If you are looking for the perfect group of musicians for your event, you've found it. The Metropolitan Players have completely changed the standard of what a "wedding band" should be.
From the moment the band started playing, it felt as though we were at our own private concert. Our guests could not wait to get on the dance floor. During dinner, we had a variety of acoustic performances which created a wonderful atmosphere for our first meal as husband and wife. Our first dance was incredible. We fell in love with the version of Feel My Love by Jenn on Youtube and asked if she could be one of the vocalists on our Wedding Day. Not only was she there to sing our song, but her voice is something I will never forget. That moment felt like it was created uniquely for us. Similarly, our mother/son dance and father/daughter dance were true musical experiences. The rest of the evening flowed from one song to the next, with a perfect balance of songs we requested and perfect selections by the band that got everyone dancing. I didn't want to leave the room, for fear I would miss a song!
The collective talent of these musicians far exceeded any expectations. They truly feel the music they play and connect with the couple and the vibe of the guests. I hope that every person that performed at our wedding knows how much we appreciated the soundtrack they provided for the most perfect day. We would recommend The Metropolitan Players to anyone looking to have a personalized experience with incredible musicians and coordinators. I cannot explain to you in words how amazing The Met Players are! They made our wedding truly amazing and special. Our guests were blown away with their energy and talent. Erin and the Met Players made our wedding. Our guests are still raving about them and how incredible they were. Without them, I’m not sure the reception would’ve been as memorable or fun. I met with Erin a few times throughout my engagement and to be honest, it was some of the best parts of wedding planning! She was always so welcoming, supportive and always had a solution or suggestion to any issue I was trying to navigate from trying to find a videographer last minute, how to handle entrances/intros with divorced parents, etc. As if that wasn’t enough, none of our crazy ideas or song choices were too far to suggest. They learned some of the most random songs that we just had to hear that day, which made our night every time they played one. Her and her team went ABOVE and beyond to make the day the most fun my husband and I have ever had.
