Meet the founder of Wedding Planning Plus - Shannon Whitney Anson. This woman is the perfect mix of extremely kind and personable (it’s 100% that Upstate NY charm) and insanely organized and straightforward. Some describe Shannon as “a wedding planner and therapist wrapped into one,” and we totally agree with that! She also loves Phish, has 3 rescue pups, and has run over 15 marathons. Wedding Planning Plus is Upstate New York's most celebrated planning team, specializing in authentic experiences and multi-day events.
What services do you offer?
Month of Coordination, Partial & Full Planning, as well as Multi-Day Full Event Planning.
What do you love most about being a wedding vendor?
Working with unique and interesting couples and sharing in a truly special moment in their lives.

The level of attention and communication in the planning process, and the guarantee of a packed dancefloor!
What's one piece of advice you would give to a newly engaged couple?
Consult with a wedding planner, of course! There are many different ways a planner can assist, from full service to day of coordination.
What makes your service unique?
We specialize in planning personalized wedding weekends of 3, 4, or more days of celebration and can be a concierge service for couples planning from out of town.
What's one wedding memory you'll never forget?
A wedding in 2019 with the amazing Metropolitan Players where the Bride and Groom got on stage and all 250 guests filled the dance floor and sang along to the couples' favorite song. The energy in the room at that moment was electric!
